THE HOME OF JUNIOR FOOTBALL

A supportive, welcoming junior football league covering West Yorkshire!

Providing a Charter Standard football league for players aged 6 to 18 in with clubs in such as Settle and Barnoldswick in the west of the County through to Pool and Chapeltown in the east of the region and currently has over 50 member clubs with nearly 500 teams.

The league is currently utilising League republic as the home of organising all of it’s league and cup fixtures and the link is here: https://caw.leaguerepublic.com/index.html

It was formed in 1981 from clubs in the Craven area to provide junior football from the age of 11 upwards and introduced mini soccer for 6 to 10 year olds in 2012. The League Committee has representatives from four of the district football associations of the West Riding: Bradford, Craven, Keighley and Wharfedale but also has participating teams from the Halifax and Leeds associations.

Naturally, there are more teams situated towards the urban areas but teams should be aware that they could be playing away games anywhere within the League and this could involve some long journeys although no kick off should be before 9.30am unless by mutual consent.

The League welcomes new teams so if your club or team is interested in joining us please contact the League Secretary on secretary@cawjl.org.uk

Our aim is to provide safe and competitive football at all ages whilst encouraging sportsmanship, working as a team, as well as keeping active! We run the league for the benefit of the member clubs and aim to develop the League in response to their wishes.

We try to provide cup competitions in the second half of the season if the weather has been kind.
