Leagues AGM – 4th July 2023

Key points from the meeting:

  • Season Ahead:
    • Start Date is Sunday 10th September 2023
    • End of Season will be the 31st May, all competitive age group divisions must play all fixtures by the 31st otherwise the home team for the outstanding fixtures will forfeit the fixture
    • With Ramadan commencing around the 10th March 2024 and Eid being around the 8th or 9th April 2024 along with the Easter holidays being on the 23rd March 2024 to 6th April, there will be a 4 week break for fixtures
  • Divisions will be run the same as last
    • U7’s & U8’s will have 3 division changes
    • U9’s to U11’s will have 2 division changes
    • U12′ & U13’s will have 2 division changes, run as two separate competitions and winners trophies for each competition
    • U14’s to U18’s will have no division changes
  • Cup Competitions:
    • Mini Soccer will have 3 cups per age group
    • Junior Section will likely have two, possibly 3 cups – all dependent on number of teams continuing
    • Finals will be held on the 18th & 19th May and clubs who would like to be considered to hold the finals are to get in touch with the league secretary.
  • County Cups:
    • Teams that enter the District Association Cups must notify the league for approval, prior to doing so.
    • Any team that enters either the County Cup or District Association Cup MUST notify the fixtures Secretary of their upcoming fixture by giving two weeks notice. Failure to comply with this may result in the team forfeiting the fixture.
      When the weather affects the County Cup fixture, the fixture rolls over to the next weekend, teams must notify the Fixtures Secretary as soon as they are aware of this.
